The modification of the rudder on the MacGregor 25 sailboat. Added three inches in each direction and fiberglassed over the entire rudder. This was in an effort to reduce the weather helm of the rudder and to aid in tracking.

  • How has the rudder modification worked out?

  • It worked great. A much more steady helm and more responsive also.

    I sold the boat yesterday.

  • Wow, coming up on 4K views. We should have sold it!!

  • Great job fellas. I'm restoring a 1969 Bristol/Sailstar 24. Any ideas on how to make a homemade tiller head. They cost several hundred dollars new, and that's not happening. In fact I laugh at that thought. Thanks.
