CENTIPEDES WHEN PROVOKED ARE AGGRESSIVE

THEY LIKE SHOEBOXES, AND THE ODD SHOE



CENTIPEDES ARE SACRED



My Grandfathers' shoeboxes held sacred things

Though they didn't wear shoes

In bare feet my Grandfathers carried boxes

Up and down the Kokoda Trail

Including the wounded Diggers



Those Diggers that could, went home with their boxes

The content of the boxes that stayed became

The content of my Grandfathers' shoeboxes.

Those contents were special.
