@08hrt - God is not far away from you. He's so close to you that His spirit lives inside of you. He can be anything, He's everywhere. He hears every word of your prayer. He answers every prayer, maybe not in the way you see fit but always to His wisdom. He would never abandon you for when you saw only one set of footprints it was then that He carried you. He will give you strength to carry your cross. He doesn't give you problems, he only helps you through them. Like in the book of Job.

There are thousands of barbaric and immoral passages in the bible being taught to our children. How many women would the creator of the universe have us murder?

The bible is ancient myth and superstition. Our early ancestors lacked basic common sense and had far less facts about the origins of the cosmos than anyone alive today. Think & reason.
