More progress on the fair organ project, this is at the Amberley working museum miniature steam weekend in September. The organ has nearly all its parts in place and following on from a visit to the Great Dorset Steam Fair has a much better glock fitted. The lower bass (8'?) section has been added which greatly enhances the bass line and give a much better feeling of presence. Dont know the name of the tune but it has some very impressive chords in it! The smaller organ on the left is a hand turned 25 note Midi and they can be made to order. The steam engine is a nearly completed double crank Raod Loco from SteamTraction World kits and should be in steam for next year. It is based on The President.

  • Hi Peter, Yes I am building the Burrell also, as well as children and work!! in that order. I am very pleased with the organ despite not being able to make violins the overall sound and the fact that there are several ranks of melody mean the musical variation is very animated. I had tuned it the day before and it played very well for two days. Lots of very favourable comments on site. Lets see your efforts.
