The old Pokemon (with Ash, Misty, Brock until Johto ends) managed to withstand two decades of ups and downs, memorable and nostalgic. The new seasons are not the same, easily forgotten even after a year passed.

I'm glad I live during that time where Team Rocket's motto never fails to make me laugh and seeing Misty yelling at Ash was one of those moments that made you grin.

imho Johto was an improvement on Kanto. Why? Because Johto innovated on the latter by continueing there where Kanto left off (e.g. the mystery of the GS Ball, the very few things we knew about Ho-Oh then and, the aim for Ash to become stronger so that he could return to win the Indigo League) while also introducing new things like the very first new generation of Pokemon. On top of that, Johto sticked close to the past (e.g. re-encounters with Duplica, Ash's squirtle and Vulpix' original owner)

lol i recorded the most recent episode of Black and White on my DVR, and it was.....well.....unbearable. i respect if u like the old and new series, and those who are growing up right now with the new series, but i am a Kanto-Hoen fan all the way
