When setting up the dogwalk, it should ALWAYS be assured that the trestles are as far back as possible, and not as they have been put on on this course! Tallulah had already run this course in reverse earlier in the day and she had obviously discovered that the dogwalk had bounced as she had gone up. Only a week previously she'd suffered a nasty fall under exactly the same circumstances. I wondered why she was worried as she was running the course, but as soon as she stopped on the dogwalk, I understood why!!!! Trestles which have been inappropriately placed cause a bouncing effect especially for large dogs, and I have seen some horrendous falls over the years caused by this. Also my old dog Lotte spent weeks out of action after this happened to her. Lesson learned - ALWAYS check the position of those blasted trestles as you walk the course before the class commences.
