Recorded June 7, 2004. San Antonio is the second-largest city in the state of Texas and the seventh largest city in the United States. Located in South Texas, the city is a cultural and geographical gateway into the American Southwest. San Antonio with a population of 1,328,984 as of the 2007 U.S. Census estimate, as well as the fourth-fastest growing large city in the nation. Its metropolitan area has approximately two million people and is the 28th-largest metropolitan area in the U.S.

This video begins at The Tower of the Americas, a 750-foot observation tower located in HemisFair Park. Next, the jewel of the city, the River Walk, which meanders through the downtown area. Lined with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants. I also pay a short visit to the Alamo.

  • @AtomicFox3 Don't listen to him things are fantastic here MOVE HERE NOW

  • Hell Yeah! It is really nice.

  • @huckstered yea i've been living here for about a month and it isn't bad at all. the people down here are very friendly, at least all the ones i've run into so far!

  • @jaguar9616 But that's the great thing about the city. All the growth has been outward. I grew up in SA in late 60s and early 70s, and when I went back a few years back when I arrived downtown I was amazed that they must have had zoning to limit downtown building, which I was very glad of. Unlike other places I lived, like Philly and NY etc, which effectively leveled may old areas to "gentrify" is that the term they use? the city.

  • @kritikalmass7 Baloney, S.A. is not crime ridden at all , considering its' size.

  • I Wish in The Future they Could Add Another 2 High rise Buildings in The Downtown Area to Give the San Antonio Skyline more Definition but overall San Antonio is a Great city With (History) and the Missions Come Check it out

  • I Live in S.A. It's Really not That Bad It's Ok I mean it's not like a Big City like New York or a Small little town like Waco ! Man and the River walk is Breath taking with its Gardens and Cafes I wish in the Future add another 2 High Rise in the D

  • @kritikalmass7 (-:no I would never make ppl leave san antonio! In fact I was actually hoping you would come!=) I was just saying. Maybe to make things better you might wanna live on the Northside which is a safe part of San Antonio, it also is close to South Texas medical center so you can be closer. and theres a lot of appartments in that area, so you'll like san antonio, actually.(= Especially downtown!=D

  • @rosewaterfallprod sorry i'm on my way there! i think you were just sayin that stuff to keep me away from your city ;-), but i'm irish so i really don't care about violence or any of that jazz. i'm going to come to your city, work on my degree, and try to learn as much as possible about san antonio w/out annoying the natives. hopefully i'll make a positive contribution to your fine city while i'm down that way. any tips other than stay away?
