The way the Glass family have treated Frank White is a shame. They don't deserve to even be mentioned in the same breath as Frank, or Mr. K.
Its just a shame that we are stuck with a Wal Mart mentality.

It breaks my heart and infuriates me that the Royals haven't even been in the playoffs since they won the World Series in 1985. Over 26 years of futility. HOW IN THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN ?! The Royals deserve all the contempt and riducule they get for being such losers since 1985.

@loyaldude10 They sure as hell weren't a football city in the 80's.

I was 9 and the inspiration of Frank White, George Brett, Amos Otis, Steve Busby, Splittorf, Rojas, Leonard, Quiz, McRae, Patek, Taylor and others continue to inspire me today. I still have opening day game programs. Stories of a hot shot third baseman Brett, a man that ran faster than than the wind, Wison, Rookie of the Year Penella. When a Team was a Team and had a common goal, to win the World Series together.

@loyaldude10 Once the Royals are free from that asshat Wal-Mart billionaire, KC will be a baseball city again ;)

Great story. It was great to see KC Royals become successful in a few yrs, as the KC A's were horrible. sorry to see Royals so bad for so long now---guess KC will always be a football city
I was a Yankee fan when I was a kid and in the mid 80s I remember the Brett and the Royals used to beat our head in all the time....no hard feelings anymore though, I feel bad that they are perenial losers every year. I hope they have a winning season soon.

Great highlights. Especially the Brett triple at the old Twins stadium in Bloomington. But it skipped right over the '76-80 Royals.
