  • I look forward to the day when the Bloated Brainwashing Corporation have to stand on their own two feet.

That is one THOROUGHLY BENT organisation, if you watch their 'news' it's what they DON'T say that proves their bias.

I want nothing to do with the BBC. Yet if I want to watch other channels, I'm still expected to pay for the 'national institution'.

Screw the BBC. Your time is over.

  • and you can get ALL that on ITV, CHANNEL 4 and Channel 5

So what do you get from the BBC ?

    RIPPED OFF

  • @Silkie341 Because they're a public service broadcaster - they offer programmes which have a benefit to the nation, alongside entertainment, which is also a benefit and human requirement.

Why do you think commercial channels don't bother with BBC4 or impartial news, or schools programming, or British-made children's television?

We all pay for public services we don't want. No programmes you want? Seeing as the range of programming is so wide on the BBC, that sounds like a slight exaggeration!

  • @spinfryman Great to hear you worked on making this promo for the BBC! Glad that it is a memorable souvenir of all your hard work! I love it!!!! Where was it filmed?

  • I worked on this special promo for the Beeb just before Christmas 1985. What a joy working with all this talent, not least Alan Parker who directed it.

  • I don't pay for water I don't use, electricity, gas and my council tax bill is itemised with the majority of services being to my benefit. Why exactly do I have to pay for TV and radio channels I don't use because they carry no programming I want? I asked myself this question ten years ago and haven't bought a licence since and never will. For all their adverts their actual licensing division is toothless and all I have to do is shred a letter or two and tell some idiot at the door to piss off.

  • They make excellent dramas, but they also carry f**king commercials!!!

  • @rnewton182 To me, my arguments do stand up. If you'd like to point out two contradicting points from me (of which there aren't any) then I'll gladly explain why that part of my argument does stand up.

  • @rnewton182 I get it. if you don;t get my reply then that's your fault for you not understanding it.

The BBC allow you to have a choice of paying through you having the choice of whether to own a TV or not. You can watch TV via other means. And if your "choice" is about channel choice, then would you kindly explain to me why the BBC have much more than just one channel and one radio station? ;)

Right, so these goons are highly qualified people who are devoted to their career?

  • (You can ditch their channels. watch stuff using on demand services. You don't have to watch their stuff, neither do you have to pay the TV licence)

you see this is where the bbc will disagree with you, with their hired goons out to get our money.
