Yeah! Smash the system! Here are the socially aware electro pop band Grossstadtgeflüster (Big City Whisperings) with their cookie-cutter bashing song Lebenslauf (colloquially meaning CV, but literally "Life Race", as in: Life is one big race).
If you for some reason should be enough of a square to find this song a little bit annoying, you can still enjoy the lovely collage of clips from the German contemporary culture, that is their video.
1st *) "Du bist Deutschland": A fairly recent media campaign to promote a feeling of national unity among the German people.
2nd *) Rügen: A German island in the Baltic Sea.
3rd*) Nutella: A brand of a popular sweet, chocolate-ty spread. (I could probably have translated it to "peanut butter" although it isn't the same thing).
4th*) Six: She might be refering to the lowest grade in the German 6-point grading scale. I could be wrong tho (I know, it doesn't sound likely).
Feel free to add any corrections you might have to my disastrous attempt at translating this song.
Thanks to knots45 for uploading the vid.
Your interpretation of "six" is correct. It is a sort of proverb to say "Setzen, Sechs!", when someone suggests an answer/sollution, that is immediatly dismissed for being wrong/unaccepted.
And I never felt, that the "Du bist Deutschland" campain made me or anyone else, less alert (i.e.: close your eyes) to what the government is doing. Just because you kinda link it to Nazi-Speak in your description. The campain has been critized, rightfully or not, but it shouldn't be linked to Fascism. Blah.

Thanks for the explanation to "Setzen, Sechs!". :)
And yeah I know, it's a gross exaggeration to call the people behind the campaign Nazis. It's more like nationalistic/conservative, and they are completely entitled to have their views. I guess I was just trying to be controversial for the sake of it. I am going to delete it, as people who don't know that much about the modern German culture might not get the satire in that description.
