Well, Glen just sold the Waco about a month ago, and now he's looking for his next bird. Whoever got this one got a WONDERFUL aircraft for sure!

I used to fly in that plane once in a while with a previous owner, Verle Root, in Colorado. It's as gorgeous inside as it it out. Brings back wonderful memories to see this. Verle later soloed me in his Cub, up at longmont.

Where was that taken? I know that plane, and I know the pilot also!

Taken at the pilot's grass strip in Oklahoma. Good man, good pilot, good airplane!

I thought so! I live in Davis, and fly pipeline patrol out of KADM, just a couple of miles from Glen's house. I buzz his strip pretty frequently. Small world!

I've heard of guys doing pipeline patrol for Total (or whoever owns it now), but I've never seen it. Sounds like some fun flying. I grew up in Ardmore, and Glenn took a bunch of people flying that day.

Valero owns that refinery now. I'm chief pilot for Underwood Aerial Patrols up in Guthrie, OK. We fly for several different companies all over the US. It's fun flying, all low altitude stuff. You still live in OK?

Sorry for the delayed response! I'm in Texas now, close to T31 (Aero Country). If you ever fly down, shoot me a msg and I'll come take some vids of you shooting down the runway! Seriously, I love taking up close video like this, so feel free to drop a line anytime.
