The Crowd Pleasers were a 6 men strong band who released but one album, but what an album it is! The highlights include "Ohio- We're Going To Dance", "C.P. Funk (C.P. Theme)", "Freaky People" and "Funkville".

The band consisted of Delbert Payne (keyboards, vocals), Donald Payne (bass, vocals), Earl E. Davis (drums, vocals), Craig Moreland (guitar, vocals), Al Carey ( trumpet, vocals) and Michael L. Roberts (tenor sax).
Other musicians:
Leroy Emmanuel: percussion. guitar
Gary Schunk & Eric Morgeson: moog, synthezier
Horns under the direction of John R. Trudell and Al Carey.
Orchestrated, arranged and conducted by Bernie Mendelson and the Crowd Pleasers
Produced by Bernie Mendelson and Leroy Emmanuel, (the master guitarist who played with the Counts and Hamilton Bohannon).
Crowd Pleasers also played on Junie Morrison's 1976 "Suzie Super Groupie" Westbound album.
