Thank you for posting this song. But I think your idea that "Jack" in the song refers to JFK is a serious misunderstanding of the history of those times. JFK was long since dead by the time this song and the events that led to it occurred. And I'd even say the cultural forces at work which contributed to Kennnedy's assasination led to the national discontentment which produced Chicago '68. With Occupy, this mood appears resurgent again just in time for the summer 2012 conventions.

@wildmanxcat True, wildman, but blame the song writer not the kids who did the video. (Shoot they shot Kennedy because he wouldnt be their puppet.)

it was a police riot. what few film footage came out of it proved that. i remember it well.
as for work - we need jobs that will at least pay the mortgage and living expenses and those complaining about others not having a jobs should STFU and EMPLOY THEM!

@sendanor Maybe if the occupy protesters took the needle out someone might give them a job! Did anyone ever think of that?
Shame to use JFK as the poster boy for political indifference, when he had been dead for 5 years when this happened......

Tear gas should be banned from police use. The South Korean public got their government to ban it's use. Should the U.S. have as much proctection of it's citizen's right to protest peacefully?
