After Buck loses all their supply money and Blue's new boots in a poker game, Manolito buys them back in and comes to the rescue. With a little help from the friend they made in an earlier brawl (i have a clip of that on youtube too) they get their money back.

From the episode 'A Quiet Day in Tucson' (season one)

I love the guest star's character, when he wakes up at the end of the poker game. And Blue's satisfaction at getting his uncle Buck to put his boots back on him is priceless!

  • Thank you for posting this. High Chaparral was my favorite show as a teenager. I had a huge crush on Manolito. Ah, nostalgia. Hope you can post some more.

  • You're very welcome, isn't Mano gorgeous! And his little insane laughs and whoops, i love them! I sure hope i can post some soon when i get some spare time. :)

  • Mano is awesome in this scene. :)

  • Isn't he just?? I was just coming to find you, to let you know i'd put clips on, and to let you know i've fallen for Mano toooooo! :D I love this show. I don't know which i love best, intense Mano, or whooping grinning "hoi hoi!" Mano! Lol.

  • Make sure that you check out the season one episode "Ride The Savage Land" for some classic intense Mano. Though not the hugely edited Hallmark showing if you can help it. There's a good eight minutes missing from every episode when they show it, which is hugely annoying.

Oh for an official DVD release...

  • tonight is the first time i have seen this since i was at school in the 70s; early 70s at that. i also watched the first series of the Brothers the other day - from 1971. I had good memeories of these shows - but didn't expect them to be so good. standards have... bit by bit... seriously dropped in 30 years. period.

  • For some REAL intense Mano watch "A time to laugh,a time to cry."

  • classic high chaparral stuff - use to watch this way back - i was little like 5 but i remember- my family loved this show
