  • I completely forgot about this video. They were put into a open 6 footer a month or so after this video, and they still loved doing this.

Unfortunately, these guys died earlier this year....they would have been around the 8 inch mark too :(

I had been away for a month, and during that time we had four days of 35 C heat, followed immediately by four more days of 45C heat - i got someone to turn the AC on, and add some aeration, but it wasn't enough :(

  • of course tank si too small!

  • @romisa420

Yeah, but they still did it after being placed in an open fast water six foot tank.....so that's not completely it.

  • These fish love fast currents. You can tell what kind of water a fish likes by observing it's body shape. Rounded large clumsy fish sink slow, have more stability, and like slow water best. Torpedo-shaped fish like these balas, prefer to swim into strong currents. They are river fish, and thrive in such conditions.

  • like a normal fish egg?

  • Hi there, i have not seen my 3 bala s eat anything since i got them 1 month back....have been feeding floating baby pellets, colour enhancing food, algae wafers,,,,bala don't eat any damn thing.....how are they survivng...??? how to feed them.....plz help...

  • To anyone who owns bala sharks-> I just bought 2 bala sharks yesterday and they're only swimming in ONE spot (besides going down for food for a second). Is this normal behavior? I also have 2 algae eaters and 3 pictus catfish in there.

  • I got a 15 gallon tank, is a red tailed or Bala shark definitely too small for these? Nice vid

  • Too little space. THey want to swim about. The best decor for them is to decorate and plant heavily in the background so they can frolic and prance around in open space (like the American Bisons)

  • Like salmon, trout, stripers, etc.
