KAVIAR GAUCHE MBFW BERLIN AUTUMN/ WINTER 2009

KAVIAR GAUCHE create must-have bags and conceptual, feminine, avant-garde clothes. The Berlin-based label was launched with a guerrilla fashion show in front of the Paris department store Colette in 2003. Since then, KAVIAR GAUCHE has held a successful presence at an international level.

As early as September 2006, KAVIAR GAUCHE received the London ON OFF Visionary Award and its SS07 collection was presented in a runway show at the prestigious London Fashion Week. Immediately following this success, KAVIAR GAUCHE was nominated for the Swiss Textiles Award. The KAVIAR GAUCHE SS08 collection won the Karstadt New Generation Award at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin. The label is continually represented in the press and at the beginning of 2008, KAVIAR GAUCHE was elected under the 10 most important German Fashion Designers.

The modern interpretation of the evening dress brings KAVIAR GAUCHE more and more frequently onto the red carpet. Alongside top models such as Nadja Auermann, the German actress Heike Makatsch is one of KAVIAR GAUCHEs most regular customers since the labels very beginning. The labels name was inspired by the so-called gauche caviar, the French jet-setters who liked to coquette with the revolutionary ideas of the 68ers.
