Lunar New Year 2011, wireless speakers and mics

For all you DJs interested in running wireless speakers with high fidelity, you may be interested in checking this out. I've been doing an event in Alameda, CA (Lunar New Year) in which we celebrate the Asian New Year by having many local performers entertain. These events include various martial artists, magical acts, live band performances, dances, speeches, and more. I run 7 speakers for this event in order to get a nice full sound without blasting people in any one direction. In previous years, I've run hundreds of XLR wire and snakes for the speakers and mics. This year, I went all wireless. Shure systems for the mics (10 of them) and wireless speakers (which was introduced to me through Rick at AGI Pro DJ) for the rear and off in another area to attract and direct people to the event. about how many wireless speakers can you have have with one transmitter?

@silvas121212 You only need 1 transmitter. If you want several wireless speakers, you need a receiver for each. Alternately, you can run 1 receiver and run xlr wiring to the others on that chain.

I wouldn't leave my gear out of sight, especially not next to a road.

@Zeamus634 LOL, yeah, that wasn't the street, just a parking lot and the vendors and security were monitoring the area. Also, crime isn't really and issue in this area. :-). Thanks for the comment.

wow good stuff dude. 200ft and still getting clean sound i'm sold i use yorkvilles ef500 there going to love the up grade.

@NY109 The mackies are great speakers. I've been using them for the last 5 years without any problems :-). If you're doing larger gigs, and you only have 2 tops, I would say, go for it. They're great for the price and have never let me down. I've used them at numerous outdoor events, karaoke, etc and not once have they blown or overheated. I normally keep them at 12 o'clock. Yes, I would highly recommend getting the wireless set from Agi Pro dj. They give great solutions.

@bertblank i was thinking about the prx-600 series, but it's just a little out of my price range right now. I have 2 srm450s v2 and 2 swa1501. i was thinking about adding 2 more srm450's and the wireless system from agi pro dj.

@NY109 Yes, I own 5 of the SRM-450, 2 of the JBL-PRX-635 with the 618XLF subs, 2 yamaha CMV12 that I use for floor monitors....uh, and more ;-). I'm looking to add to my collection of PRS-600 series. They're pretty sweet speakers. Very light compared to anything else I own. The SRM-450s are the V1s...so very heavy....but, they still sound great :-)

Thanks guys. I had a sound engineer following me during this video. He was really interested in the wireless system that I had set up. I had many kudos from guests and performers. One guy even said "perfect ". Wow, first time I got that comment :-). I'll need a couple more of those systems :-). We'll talk soon.
