I watched every single videos from TheShend, more videos here and there and looked at loads of people play.

That doesn't exactly apply to me. I might have missed some occasion of "red parry to gigas" but its rare, and at pro level its even more impressive no matter what.

you make a very good point...but i think he's gotten a bit worse in recent times. and let's not forget the power of low-tier and the challenges in predictability it poses to people who are used to playing mid/upper/top tier characters

YSB is often in these ranking battle videos, that only show games from top 8 and up. For a hugo to be this often top 8 in japan demands respect

I thought Matei was decent, showed a lot of potential at clutch times...but didn't mix it up enough, or moonsault enough.

He does look a lot better than YSB, whose popularity as Hugo I've never understood. Hate to be such a fanboy, but where is Hayao these days?
