McDame Creek Placer Miner

Al arrived at the Holloway Bar placer gold mine with a video camera a few years back - and Scott led him through a day's mining and explained what he does and how it all works. He fed a bunch of gold-bearing gravel into the Wizard with the excavator, and then shut down and pulled the top nugget catch apart to wash the fine gold out the carpets. Once you've got some gold concentrate, you just have to pan a little bit of it so see if it does contain any treasures! Thanks for the nice comments... These videos are as much fun to make as they appear to be (we do have quite the adventure going - kind of like our own reality series without all the drama!)

There's still a couple of feet of snow at the mine, but spring is coming so we're anxious for another adventure this season... It is a good thing gold is worth a few bucks as the fuel will be a killer this year!

I think your videos are great. i'm in new england not to much gold here but it's still alot of fun spending days working on the stream.if you guys ever want a hard worker im looking for a way out .been in construction all my life and need a change thanks agian. cboldno7
