I had the great good fortune to meet Billy Connolly a couple of days ago. An absolutely lovely person, and one of my favourite banjo pickers. We had a very nice conversation and the subject of accordions never came up once :)

@theconcorde001 It's a little different ... the high string is on top and it's normally tuned to an open tuning, but if you can play guitar, it'll only take a few adjustments to play the banjo. There's a very good banjo site on the net called the banjohangout (google the name to get there) that you should take a look at if you're interested in learning :)
