  • @sablatnic - -All you seem to be implying is to give great justifications , for "quote tandem wing being stable" yet we are witnessing the fail of this tandem- - The canard - lifting surface / control surface was abondoned by the wright brothers about 105 years ago because of the high pressure acting on the forward surface meant the pilot had to constantly re-adjust control and did not allow for hands off flight - a look at the plane in this clip you see the forward wing has anhedral

  • @rentatrip1 Hi Again. 

    A tandem winged plane need not be unstable, but it will be unstable if the Center of Gravity is located too far back. Same as other planes, but what most people don't think of is, that the front wing of a tandem plane has to work at a higher Coefficient of Lift than the rear wing. If it does not, the plane will be unstable.

  • @sablatnic - The original question was where is the CG and my observation is not so much about the CG but the reason for the Freaking CRASH-? still I saw no problem Child seen in the video ? , no Pram , and no Teddy Bear ? also I had a complication with the basic reason why all that rot was placed into the beginning of the video without a general explaination- One can reason that this design is not the best for a model RC aircraft - because of it's inherent instability

  • @rentatrip1 A canard plane, or a tandem plane as this is, can be stable, but the CG has to be positioned to let the front wing take a larger part of the burden, which means that it has to work at a higher cl factor. It will only do that with a more forward CG.

  • @sablatnic - No PRAM - No Kiddy NO Teddy - so WTF ?

    The concept of using a Canard front lifting wing could be the reason for the abrupt Dive- since a canard has a very radical pitch Moment and must be constantly corrected- the "flying backwards" effect uses the canard to cut into the air - so theere is virtually no "STABILITY" hence when the R/C "pilot" moves the stick there is no compensation to bring the vehicle back to level flight so the plane just continues to DIVE
