I think he became a US citizen because he didn't want to go to the military lol but I'm not 100% either. This is one of the most common rumors I hear tho

He should of just went to the korean military first and then become a us citizen.

im a huge fam of yoo seung jun myself...just for fyi he did sign up to join the korean army, but during the physical examination they found that he had a disk operation not long ago so he couldnt enter the military.

Okie. I'll tell u what happend to him. (According to news or rumor) He has banned from korea.
He got 2 nation. US and Kor. Kor millitary is mandatory. He was able to choose either live in Kor and join kor army, or choose Us nation and dont have to go Kor army. Then he chose Kor Army. But according the news, at that time there was 911 (according the rumor as well) terror in us. So that was bad news to Yoo, too.
So by the "newlaw"(guess),"You cant join other country's army" he chose USnation.

During that time he had to go to the states for some business and when he tried to return for some bizarre reason he wasnt allowed to pass the korean airport. (it could be bc he returned with a u.s. citizen passport) then the news poured out that he choosed to be an american citizen rather than korean. I believe that he was a korean citizen in time of military. i'm sure there are other facts about this issue that only he will know, but truly i dont think he's done anything wrong.
