@flynth99 Fully agree - It also baffles me how some so-called premium health clubs don't have them either! If they've got space for 2 smiths machines why not 1 smith + 1 rack??????

Nope. I rang the gym and there are no squat racks at all. There are various machines like a smith machine etc which can be used as a substitute acting on certain selected muscle groups, but nothing that would allow the trainee to engage all muscles used during a squat.
I can't understand how someone could've designed a 20 mil £ gym without putting in a £300 squat rack
