Red light jumper and dangerous bin lorry

I approach a light which is obviously going red (amber wasn't working but that was obvious!). Even as the light goes red and I am still a fair distance away a taxi accelerates past me (you can hear the engine) and passes through the red light over 3 seconds later. I recite his plate number.

Waiting at the light I am charged at by a dustbin lorry, which swerves around the obstruction (at a fair speed) not missing me by much whilst hitting his horn! What was that about!

;S red light but nothing happening/nobody comming, i would have done the same thing as the drivers in this car if i was on a bicycle. the bicycle rules over there in england is messed up. in norway, there are separate roads where you can walk/ride bicycle/ ride bike or use the pavement.

if you think people like to jump red lights up there, come to london.

we've got the london rule: green: keep going, especially if its all blocked up

amber: go really fast

red: keep going until the cars at the other side of the junction start moving/blowing their horn at you (whichever happens later)

When you get to within a mile of the city you are also expected to go if there is nothing else is coming. This includes when your light is red

whats your average speed on your commutes? i noticed you seem out of breath a lot, maybe its just because the microphone is close to your head, also i wish i had a helmet cam because just the other day i say a guy blast through a red light !

No oncoming traffic, lights on wrong side and NO WAIT HERE sign. Your issue should be with the Roads Authority and not the driver in question, although I'll make an exception as he was a HACKNEY driver and would have broken the red light anyway. But as a taxi driver myself, why shud I overtake the same bycycle 6 times on 1 stretch of road when they decide to go through the red light which I have stopped at???

We get several cars jump a red light every time they change here. There must be thousands each day.
