broke ps3 red light of death

so i was playing mw2 on my ps3 and in the middle of a game it shut of the red light kept flashing so i tryed to turn it on it turned yellow beeped at me then turned red..... from what ive herd my ps3 is shot and cant be fixed let me know if the hard drive can be saved. any questons feel free to ask

Here is how you get the game out. Turn off the ps3 from the switch on the back. Then turn in back on so you get the solid red light while holding the eject button. It should put the fan on highest and get the game out.

happened to me. send it back. they gave me my game back with a new or fixed ps3. but this was 2 years ago,
