In my view, Goldikova can be remembered no other way than just the incredible race-mare that she was. The little engine that could, and did. That said, even though she did manage 2 G1 wins in the Prix D' Ispahan and the Prix Rothschild in 2011, and never finished worse than 2nd in any of her other European races, and 3rd in the BC Mile, still can't help but think her connections kept her racing a year longer than they should've. She should've been retired after the 2010 season, IMO.
Immortal Verse is properly named, as she could be the one the upset the Immortal (Goldikova) in the upcoming Breeders Cup in the U.S. But I'll still go with Goldikova as she had a very wide trip in the Marois and this will be the race of the Century coming up.
The most Group/Grade I wins ever by a female European horse. Looking forward to watching her tomorrow Goldikova always a pleasure to see such a horse.
Canford cliffs its 2 or 3 lenghts behind goldikova, he doesn`t probe he is a great miller, its a wonderful horse, but not so good as goldikova in a mile!
But a horse who can (easily) win on a mile, 10f or 1m 4f or longer (or shorter) is an absolute Champion, a dream horse. I disagree with you, BC has to go overseas, there are top horses elsewhere. We don't know her limits (I hope she doesn't have :-) and easily winning against the same horses is sometimes almost boring. Just let her come overseas!
IMO, if this year's Queen Anne set's up exactly like this one did in 2010? Goldikova could find it very difficult to hold off a charging Canford Cliffs. Because I personally believe that Canford Cliffs turn of foot is even faster than Paco Boy's was. Plus, Canford Cliffs has really thrived over the surface at Ascot in the Coventry and the St Jame's Palace. I'm not saying that Goldikova can't or won't win the race again? I'm just saying she doesn't want Canford Cliffs closing on her at the wire.

Peslier should of been slugged in the mouth after that 2011 Breeders Cup Mile fiasco.
