honestly are the young turks really that stupid? glenn beck showed WAY more of her speech on the show i've seen it. it's not a joke u idiots she quoted him and talked about his philosophy and how that should apply to they're (the people she's talking to) lives. "out of context" my ass. thats the typical thing to say. i suppose the young turks also support hitler, stalin, the khmer rouge, and the men behind the armenian genocide. because if ur standing up for mao thats pretty low

How can you possibly watch the clip and think that her confessed admiration for Mao was just a joke?!
The line "...not often coupled with each other " is obviously a witticism, yes. But clearly it was only a side-remark to buttress her mirthless reference to Mao and was not the sole, preconceived motive for the reference.
How otherwise do you explain the fact that she then proceeds to give a humourless two minute lecture on Mao's virtues?! What a strange and conflated epilogue to a "joke"!
