Hi chip, I'm having problems getting my Cachregister to work. I make the PQ, but when it shows up on cachregister it shows status "unavailable" and age "unknown" and total caches:0 The PQ from GC said there were 500 and yet once It comes to Cachregister it appears like it's all blank. I have remade new PQs over and over and tried different things, but still my PQs come up empty on my end even though they are full. Please help. Thanks.
Got to meet you at GeoWoodstock. Thank you for being so helpful. It's comforting knowing that you'll answer any questions I may have. I'm going to purchase Cache Register tonight and geocache this weekend. I'm so glad that this works on Macs. Glad isn't a strong enough word. I'm elated. Genuinely, joyfully elated. Thank you!
Chip, just purchased PN 40. I have NO IDEA how to use it. This is my 1st GPS ever. Yes, I'm reading the manual (90 pgs.) & help topics from TopoUSA on my PC. Can anyone produce video clips: how to get started right from the box and getting up to speed on the basics. A picture (video) is worth 1K words. This would save the neophyte hours of reading and scratching your head tryin' to figure things out.
These DeLorme YouTube demos and tutorials are one of the main reasons I bought the PN40.
I wish you guys would post youtube how to's when you release a new product such as cache register, or Topo8. At least for me, this would save a lot of time and avoid miscommunications on the forum
In short, thanks for the video and post some more--preferably when you post a "Sticky" on the forum!
A good point... I'll see what we can do about creating more informative video clips. There are certainly a few topics I'd like to cover to help people out.
