The tuning coil is fine for a slow bleed, but use a 270k resistor anyway for a non-reactive bleed for sudden buildups (spikes) on those L-O-N-G 160 band wires.

Great job !
I feel French Military kite like yours is the best antenna lifter.
You need to work on tuner for high power.
There is not much to work on 160M with 10W.
I use Spiderbeam pole to lift tuner 15m high.

The othe box is a broadcast rejection filter - to prevent strong overload of the front end by local broadcast stations.

what kind of wire are you using?
i presume the classic multi-wired coper it can be easily broken good luck in future with all your projects !

The wire is stainless steel - 1.2mm overall - 7x7strand.
