You're living in a dream world, pal. Seagrave is about as far from cheap as you can get; they are probably the MOST expensive fire apparatus out there. FDNY gets them cheap because they buy them in bulk. True, Pierce makes about 2000 apparatus a year compared to Seagrave's 500 or so, and Pierce does make a beautiful, rugged and reliable piece. But I've NEVER heard ANY complaints from anywhere about Seagrave. In fact you're the only one I've seen call Seagrave "crap, unreliable, and cheap."

@TheFireman203 kmes that is

@MettaFireRescue I'm guessing so that it shows that they are not in service and not staffed as a real fire truck so theres no confusion when they're driving hundreds of miles from their actual city.

E-53 has the lamest siren
-
@gun138 proably for insurance purposes or somthing to that effect because the rig isnt in service they probably have to cover them on a highway
-
It's kind of like the president's limo and the presidential seal on it. They only display the seal if the president is actually on board. In the same way that they will not display the FDNY logo unitl the unit is actually in service with the FDNY.
