I saw her live at the Hampton Roads Jazz Festival in 1970 and she WAS this good. I couldn't believe her voice! Iam so glad I saw her.

I think I died and went to heaven. Now we know why she was called the "Divine One". I saw her in concert a number of times and she was incredible. Now, that is a voice with true range and beautiful tones, so rich you could reach out and hold them. I miss you so much, Sassy. No one can come close. Even Ella Fitzgerald said when Sarah died, "we lost the greatest voice". That, coming from another incredible singer, says it all.
