They were not stupid for arresting them. It's there job. The only ones who were stupid were the dancers. They should have contacted the staff beforehand and asked about the rules/regulations.

I'm sure you would have been more than welcome to do it if you had contacted them beforehand. Or at least known it was illegal. Use some common sense... if they don't let children run around in there, why would they let a bunch of adults dance around?
And it is VERY distracting when people move around, especially in front of the memorial, where people are trying to read. You have no one to blame but yourselves. I would have been very pissed if I had gone there to find a bunch of people dancing
