@nextos Also, I've done law at UQ for 4 years and only ever heard 1 lecturer mention QUT. So since you don't go to UQ, I wonder how you're so familiar with what the majority of lecturers/staff think? Take my word (or don't, I'm not too fussed either way) that myself and all of my UQ friends couldn't give a shit whether someone goes to UQ, QUT, Griffith, Bond...we all end up in the same place once we graduate. There are a lot of people with their heads up their arses, but you get that anywhere.

@nextos I never said "if QUT were as good as UQ maybe you too could"...I said "if QUT had a good law review, they probably WOULD pay out UQ". I use the hypothetical "if" because as far as I know, QUT doesn't have a law revue. I don't know anyone from UQ Law who takes the rivalry seriously and I'm pretty sure I've said that I don't...so seriously, don't take it to heart. If you think all UQ students and staff are pretentious prats who hate QUT, you haven't met many.

Nawwwww, i never realised UQ students were so low! That's so pathetic it's almost cute.

Even the comments saying that this whole thing is a joke, is immediately followed by "if QUT was as good as UQ maybe you too could… ". people can think whatever they want, however I personally think that there are a alot of UQ staff and students that have thier head up their own asses and are thoroughly enjoying the smell.

@LaFemmeEcarlateThe only time I hear about this "rivalry" is whenever I meet anyone from UQ, at all other times in my life no one cares you exist. However the moment I meet someone from UQ all I hear is QUT is shit, UQ is the greatest. And which disturbs me more is that this weird cheerleader attitude is encouraged by the staff at UQ. Honestly the reason it seems like a jab at QUT, is because if it was a joke it wouldn't be going for so many years digging into my skull.

all i hear is a constant whining of a five year old who insists their “etc” is better than the other kids “etc”.

@nextos seriously dude it's a JOKE. It's not meant to be taken seriously, if you are interpreting it as an honest dig at QUT you're the one with the issue. Most UQ law students have friends from QUT; I know I do. The UQ Law Revue is a *comedy sketch show*...they make fun of our own students, our lecturers etc. as well. Don't think you're so special. If QUT had a good Law Revue, I'm sure they probably would pay out UQ and I'd have a good laugh, because that's what adults do, they take a joke lol
i x understand this thing btwn UQ and QUT. I guess if u look at it from the elitist POV, UQ is the better uni with legacy, tradition and its one of the group of 8. however, QUT is more practical, looking to the needs of the community and fulfilling those needs. Im a QUT student and i hv a friend at UQ who said that evn the teaching staff at UQ hv some 'hostility' towards QUT.
Does any1 know whats the history between this 2 unis?

QUT kept pushing UQ in the car whenever it turned corners. UQ in turn spilled its Coke over QUT, prompting Dad to "turn this car around". And there was no Wet N Wild for anyone.
