He went back to the Republican party only because the corrupt 2 party system we have in America simply WILL NEVER allow an independent to win a presidential election. The bad part is that a lot of people who otherwise would agree with a lot of what he says won't vote for him just because of the "R" next to his name.
Ron Paul is so unlike all the other GOP candidates it is unreal... i don't agree with everything he says but he is just such a breath of fresh air!

The irony is that they really aren't even making fun of Ron Paul, they are making fun of the Republican party. Ron Paul brings up good points and gets cut off by a bell or Rudy Guliani's crazy ass.
And OF COURSE Ron Paul wasn't going to win. That's not a knock on Paul, that's a knock on the batshit crazy conservative right. You have to thump your chest and act like a stupid redneck to get the Republican nomination. Get it through your thick skulls people.....
