  • Betta vases are cruel. Most of the time the priority is to make it look pretty and not the fish's health and happiness which should be top priority with any pet.

Bettas need water at 80 F and a filter. Vases and bowels do not go through the nitrogen cycle where ammonia from waste is turned into nitrites by a bacteria colony that grows in the filter, and then the nitrites are turned into nitrates.

Put colorful marbles in with the plant but please put the betta in a 3+ gallon tank.

  • Thanks for the video! Can't wait to get my peace lily and betta combo for my cube at work! :D

  • For anyone wanting bettas pica's comment is not true. Betta fish live in tiny mud puddles in the wild and is why they are so territorial. I have owned bettas for years. They do fine in tiny bowls, of course the bigger the better but they are a very low energy fish. They love plants and eat and pick at the algea that grows on the roots and the plant loves the fish poop. They don't need filters and do fine at room temp. The biggest threat is kids sticking in their hands or shaking.

  • @GuacamoleKun it needs nutrients. normally soil provides this. water alone wont grow anything unless there is some nutrient in it.

  • I don't understand how a plant can grow larger without soil. Doesn't it need some solid matter to turn into more leaves and stuff?

  • his head looks kinda small compared to his body

  • good job man

  • STOP being soo rude!!!
