@Bernerker I'm pretty sure Carmen was just 16 during the taping of the show.
She does country music now, I believe.

She may have not executed this song perfectly, but this song really complimented her voice. When I heard this live, I fell in love with her (as a fangirl), and this song.

Throughout her stay on the show she was always lacking in the vocal department but with this performance I can look past that. Perfect song for her, I really enjoyed this.

Randy is just a jerk.....he never liked her. All I can say is that Carmen has just released a new CD and to Randy..."eat your heart out!" This girl can sing!! As Gladys Knight said...she was on the brink in this...well listen to her new CD....and you'll see that Carmen has arrived.

I think she actually sounds good with this! Indeed she was out of tune in some spots in the verse, but no big deal; the chorus was good!! :D Blah Randy never liked her that's why he was so harsh here!

Oh come on people, give the girl a break! She was only 17 when she was on the show. I think she did a great job! It wasn't her best performance but she did a good job. :0) Keep going Carmen!
