A student documentary by Phenice Zawatsky, Danielle Werbie, and Diane Klotz providing a glimpse into life in the foster care system. Three foster youths -- Teddy, Porshea, and Ashton -- talk about their personal experiences while under child protection, offering anecdotes about their childhood, transitional stages (child to teen, teen to adult), and life after emancipation. Social workers and professors analyze and discuss the emotional difficulties and challenges children and teenagers face adapting to foster care in the U.S., as well as the struggles they have making it on their own.

  • I hope these people beat the shit out of their parents for walking out of your lives and abandoning them as children...

  • Thanks for this! I'm a former foster youth who's now going to Medical School. Keep up the hard work!
