if ur hachem, moon, moneymaker, cada or gold then please do not discuss poker with me. you guys all won the wsop through luck and dirty suckouts. pius heinz however is world class and desserved to win all day long. donks donks donks, why do they win!?
-
@PostOakBluff yeah if the person in question is playing like 1 table. Thats why volume is so important to make consistent money. Going on a bad run for months when your multitabling like 12-16 tbles is almost impossible

Lets set up a little poker game whoever doesnt think its skill!

@IMKINDASHY611 Doesnt play poker for a living? Maybe you should google 'Mike Sexton'. And you're right, the longer you play poker, doesn't matter how good you are, you will 'get burnt' by bad luck, as you put it. But, one of the 'good decisions' pros make, is making sure that the bad luck doesn't claim their entire bankroll when it does come, and in the long run, good players will make money, as Mike was trying to explain.

Skill over Luck.... I was right.... Thank you!

poker is a game of skill yet he doesnt play poker for a living. yea rite. sooner or later no matter how good you are you will get burnt. he just advertises poker as a skill so many donks can buy books and learn about poker, get addicted to poker and watch poker all day every day.

and so is baccarat and blackjack.... trololololol
-
If I may Quote Stevie Wonder And Stevie Ray Vaughan at the same time...
When you Believe in things, that you don't understand, you suffer...Poker is a game of skill . thank you

Well said Mike.

@scrabbledwarf Obviously if someone runs bad enough for a long enough time....they will be broke. But the fact is, this isnt gonna happen nearly as often as you make it sound if you are TRULY using good bankroll management. The problem is, once people hear poker is a skill game, they suddenly think that they have the skill + knowledge. No.
@scrabbledwarf it is definitely possible to go on a bad run of cards for several months and not have the bankroll to withstand the variance... also during these times of losing it's more difficult to keep playing well which can add to the problem. Yet if you're able to beat the game and stakes you're playing over the long run and make the correct winning decisions you should be a winning player. Chk out
