Ah, if Wittgenstein had lost his left hand instead of his right...

@Kardos08 do you understand english? did I write "lugansky played bad BECAUSE of the fingering" ? Don't talk about things I didn't say ok? Think a litle before you say something...I said he played not so good has he usually does and I said his fingerings are odd. Two totally seperatly things.

@Masmorra84 Message to Masmorra 84: I also have played this concert with orchestra before: maybe you are trying to convince people who don't understand the reality oif concert playing that you are to judge somebody's fingerings as part of the real value of a performance, Pretty disonest ! We pianists know that each one of us uses the fingereng that works for us, what is to be judged is the artistic result of a performance, fingering is the way to get there not the goal.

Folks in the audience missed an opportunity there to be part of the moment -- I would have just whacked my left hand against chest or thigh in applause.

What style eh? While it may not be the most exciting performance of all time this is a great way to study this wonderful piece don't you think? Lugansky takes it at a steady if slowish pace but the clarity of his playing and the clarity of the video too makes following the music easy. All those bass notes are crystal clear here. Great stuff!
