8-Bit MicroKorg Sounds Tutorial

Hey there everybody.

Just made this to showcase a few sounds I made on my MicrKorg that sound very 8-Bit and are very helpful for use in conjunction with LSDJ or Nanoloop or chiptune in general.
My main use for them is to compose and write on the Korg and then put it on the LSDJ cart. It's much quicker and easier that way. Different for sure though.
Alternatively, if you're dying for another sound channel on your gameboy, you could play this alongside your gameboy or what have you.

The first 5 are the Nullsleep one and the second set of 5 are the other.

Just letting you know, and no, I'm not being a dick or trolling or whatever, oscillator is pronounced "ah-SS-i-lay-ter", not "ahs-KI-lay-ter". Yes, that is spelled really weird, and I know that the syllable divisions are not normal, but I'm just letting you know that oscillator has a silent "C". The rest of the video is awesome, btw!

What preset are you on?? IE: 2nd bank of Hiphop/rap sounds

@Mutilationer I'm using A.53...but it doesn't really matter because I saved over the presets years ago.

the arpeggiator thing on the second one doesnt sound the same....someone wanna help?

@korygreg96 Mm, I forgot to include that in the image table. After getting the right sound, the ARP A settings should be: 300, 1.24, 100 or 99, UP or DOWN, 1 and then ARP B should be: off, 0, On, 8. And then as far as the pattern, each square should be red.

@md10kd I've had my MicroKorg for about 8 years. I know a little about general synthesis and what sound waves are which, and getting Microkorg to sound like a Gameboy involves basically working backwards getting something that sounds nice and lush and advanced to sound raw and primitive. But honestly, when it comes down to it...just mess around with shit and don't settle for using the stock sounds. The MicroKorg is capable of so much more than people give it credit.

Turning knobs just for turning knobs sake, Like how you will turn a knob 3 diff times but tune it back to it's original spot.

I did everything you said on program number 8. It still doesn't sound right though. The notes last a lot longer and not as 8bit-sounding. Does it matter which program number i do it on? Because I really hate the sound of Program number 8. Please reply and help!
