@dominicdit @Lieu3C4 I believe he's suggesting that modern authority can't predict or prevent murder, and so having faith that it will prevent murder is more like tradition or optimism than anything logical.
He then goes on to say that the solution to a society set-in-its-ways would be complete honesty about murder (and probably other, less exciting crimes).
It's possible, but idealistic to think that honesty leads us to utopia. It's worth a shot, anyway.

@Lieu3C4 okay. I have no clue what this means at all. what does the systemology of murder have to do with the medieval falsehood under the aegii of authorities with no control. totalitarian oppression is of course worse, but what does any of this have to do with anything.

Given that most murder occurs amongst people who have already murdered, and takes place under the aegii of authorities who cannot control murder group systemology in any better way (totalitarian oppression being worse, and untenable in the West, at least for now), were it not better then to speak of it in all truth, if not in all deatil, so as allow that humanity progress on bases of truth and awareness rather than a more or less mediaeval falsehood and hypocrisy touted as faith in the secular?
