Top notch picking! Anybody post Fred Van Eps' recording of "Nola" on YT yet? Buddy Wachter is the U.S. master of this style.

The banjo is a Pietsch MasterVox # 6, tuned plectrum G, i.e:- D, G, B, D, bass to treble.

Please post more videos because you are awesome. Do you play tenor too or just plectrum?

@DrWangMagicalSecret
Bit of tenor since I am also a mandolinist. I have a video on youtube of me attempting to play Tiger Rag but I'd not admit to playing tenor really!

It is true, that tie is awful, and perhaps this is why he plays so amazingly, to keep you focused on the music! I do play 5-st Bluegrass banjo, but listening to Sean I discovered a whole new universe. Bravo!

Since gaining my lady the tie has been trashed. Rest in peace old (awful) tie.

By plectrum banjo, do you mean a jazz tuned 4 string banjo? instead of the GDAE tenor tuning.
