@parkesc21 If you google Burger Chef, you'll find a great website that can tell you all about the history of Burger Chef!I'm in my 40's & had never heard of Burger Chef until I saw these commercials on You Tube.

Commercials were so mellow and soothing back then, obviously meaing to appeal to the parents, not the kids.

@parkesc21 - They were a national chain like McDonald's and Burger King. They lasted till the 80's and was sold to Hardee's.

Sadly..I was never able to eat at "Burger Chef"..when they exsisted.

Is it just me, or does the wear and tear on the tapes of commercials like this (combined with the already sentimental nature of the ads) add a dream-like feel to them?

We hated the white shirts and black bow ties but then they came out with a v-neck mustard colored pull over shirt with a red button in dickey that left all the guys begging for the bow ties and white shirts. Gene Burger Chef Crowley La '70-'73.
