by the way the membrane needs to go up 6 to 8 inches up the wall. and im with radkat dude when it comes to the pre-float needing to have 1/4" slope. inspectors want to see how the pan drains through the weep holes

hahaha. i might just do that
bennieblanco13 2 years ago
amen to that. im doing three tile rooms on a second floor im using the exact method but added steal to my slope mix.
the first shower room has gone 5 years no problems six family members and its alway wet. so now im doing 2 more.
that menbrade even has a glue to bond
sheets together to do whole room floors
its great to never have to clean a shower door. when the mold comes up just spray the room with bleach with a insect
sprayer wait ten minutes then hose the whole room down with water.

i have a feeling a lot of negative comments posted are by professinals and like your doctor they want to treat your problem and not cure it.

as long as the membrane goes up 4 inches that dura rock isnt never going to fail and yoy will never get a call back for a leak.

do yo really think water cant wick one quarter inch per foot, look at the definition of wick
datzfast 2 years ago
But the reason for a sloped pan is so that water doesn't set forever and doesn't wick up the wall. Where I work they inspect for the proper slope in the pan. If it doesn't slope 1/4" per ft then it doesn't pass.
