  • this is pulsing, right? I mean it is opening and closing, not like a diesel injector that just stays open (for the most part)?

  • The spray with the stream like is no good (L). The misty injection is evenly distributed and burn more efficiently (R).

  • The pattern is to prevent the intake valves from forming carbon deposits on them. Mazda and Ford got the design right. VW and Audi on the other hand is a different story.

  • Can someone please tell me if I'm correct that the first is a direct injector and the 2nd is a port injector?..

  • I'm confused. I thought the Skyactiv was direct injection... Can you explain the difference a little more please to those of us who aren't injector pro's. I'm not a fan of the spray pattern from the Skyactiv. What's up with that? Doesn't look healthy at all.
