I was asked how to make one of these new orbi forearm builders. One way is to use a speed rail as the spinning part. The actual size of pipe used can vary. This is what I had around. 3/4 inch for the weight part is best for 1" plates. This was my first try. It worked great. Speed rails are available from mcmaster. A VERY similar movement can be done with a wire twister. They are $3 from mcmaster.

  • I'm not saying it's as good as, but it works pretty good. Probably like comparing a olympic bar you get "free" with 300 pounds of weight to a Elieko, both are functional.

  • Thank you! You inspired me to make my own Ghetto Orbi using galvanized pipes. It works great. I also made, using pipes, something similar to the burn machine. It works great also. Continue to post creative ideas. :)

  • This is a lot cheaper than Dave Hornes version for 49pounds sterling. You are so creative. Looks great!
