  • What is that long rod between shock towers?

Some sort of roll cage alike ?

What is it made of ? (yours)

  • @xxgg I used a chunk of steel car brake line in between the shock towers to keep them from bending inwards. Works perfect, cheap as gum.

  • How thick is the chassis?

Also, with ESC mounted on top, won't it damage it if truck does hard top land ?

  • @xxgg

Haven't had any damage to the esc up there, or sideways up front either. Had more damage from the rear tower in the stock position. Chassis is 3.2mm thick and haven't seen a bent one yet!

  • nice job. now why does it look and seem sooooo familiar? look at my HPI XL build

  • @SCAREMONGERe

Saw your XL conversion. Looks good. Too bad about your first motor mount.

We've been selling the DB-17 since April 2009. As you know, it's a great layout.

  • do you guys ship international?

  • @SCAREMONGERe thanks man. i really like your channel. and your ideas are great.

  • @Foose86HB

The way it's shown here is the same design it has always been. There's been no change with these areas. They all have the same stuff there. We added the ESC mount holes early in 2010.
