Stunning cars, absolutely stunning. If I won the lottery I'd get one of those Superbirds over here first thing.

Quick question - does anybody know what the top speed of these cars was? I heard 143mph quoted for the Roadrunner, and it has a 150mph speedo, but I also heard it's slightly slower than the Daytona... and I know the Daytona was the first NASCAR to top 200mph but what was the road car capable of?

@Strike86 Same for me If I won the lottery I would buy both cars! You're are right in that the superbird was a bit slower then the daytona, The Road car was capable of reaching the same speed, but they had de speedo just go's to 150mph they did this on purpose for insurance They tuning it down a bit, but it can go also 200mph! The daytona for the road is the same car as a 69 charger but with wing and a nose on it, the 69 had also a 150mph speedo everything was the same in that.

@Strike86 They Daytona can reach 150mph easily, But can go further as well and reach 200mph! They Superbird is a nicer car yes. But If you want to go fast I would buy the daytona because this is a RACE CAR!! Ready to race that is what I love about that car! Yes it is not so nice as the superbird but who cares about that?

@Strike86 I remember reading a story on the Dodge Daytona,and it quoted racer Bobby Isaacs as saying a factory Daytona would do 180mph of the showroom floor(don,t know how true that was)....and a Chrysler test car (no 88) doing 243mph at their Chelsea Michigan test track in 1969

my 69 dodge daytona hit the trap at 165 MPH  on a airport here in CA........but she had a wobble that worried me. might of been faster. i hope it helps :)
