Rita Coolidge Lake Forest, CA on 7-25-2010 performing her hit "We're All Alone". Recorded aproximately 60 feet from the stage with Canon 7D & 70-300mm USM IS lens at F8. No after effects were used other than shrink down to 360p from 1080p. Audio track is from built in Canon 7D mike which is not too bad. The video was all hand held (not tripod). The few bursts of light occured when pressing AF-ON for quick auto focus. I've shot less than 5 videos with the 7D - getting more comfortable with the weight, usage, etc.

  • That's not Rita Coolidge...

  • @bobbya16 you are right. it's Mother Theresa

  • This isn NOT Rita, this is her sister Priscilla.

  • @fayeh51 - Rita Coolidge was under contract with the City of Lake Forest. Do you really think they would let her sister perform to breach the contract ? Not likely.

  • She's doing that "late-phrasing" thing...singing the line 2 or 3 beats after the music has moved on. I hate that. Basically, the accompaniment to a song usually written and orchestrated to compliment the melody. If a soloist sings a line after the orchestration has moved on, it ruins the chord. This is just odd. Is it really Rita?

  • @GospelAccording2ME Yes it is really Rita not in her best form.

  • dont care who it is, sounds like she cant hear the backing track.

  • I say she's still hot after all these years. Sounds fine to me. It's her song. She owns it. If you don't like, don't listen.

  • @revup67 LOL! It is Rita.

  • I can see why people think it's not her. I have noticed that her style has changed lately, but she is style beautiful and such massive style. I saw her years ago in concert...but to be honest, I was probably looking more at her husband at the time...

  • She was 65 years old when this video was recorded. Obviously she must retire now if she is still active. I largely prefer the 1977 version, when Rita was 32. Groups like ABBA never reunited again after the end, just to avoid painfull performances.

  • @enofanone Or they go into the studio and work out their vocal problems or change their repertoire.

  • It is Rita, but I guess she is getting old and so is her voice. Still she is the original.

  • If that is Rita she must be drunk.

  • As we know with age, some singers loose control of their vocals, not all but some, actually all to some degree or another,so cut Rita some slack, sit back and remember this beautiful song sung by a beautiful woman................out!

  • @GospelAccording2ME

    you all rigth¡
