I'm thinking the fox didn't really know what it was attacking due to the chickens injuries being so light compared to what countryside foxes leave after a raid in a hen house. You were very lucky not to have found a right mess when you went into the 'Ark'. I will be re homing some ex battery hens once we have built a penthouse quality hen house.. lol
Fabulous - I've watched nearly all of your videos - I've recently acquired three chickens, too, also making videos. Cheers, and I hope the fox stays away.
Came across your videos when I was looking for information on having chickens. Surprise! I've watched all 45 videos. I'm a Giveitago junkie. Now that spring is here hope you will be getting ready to try gardening again this summer and keep us up-to-date on how the "kids" are doing. You've convinced me. I'm going to "giveitagoinIdaho."
I'm very happy to see that you took the time to have a specialist examine your flock. What sort of Vet is Cat? Is she an avian specialist? Anyway, I'm sure your birds will recover nicely, they are in such good hands. I wish you all well there.
Get a .22mag, and take up fox hunting. If you have a .22mag or anything bigger, you're already good.

We recently completed filming a two and a half year project, a feature-length documentary entitled Mad City Chickens.
Interest in urban chickens is absolutely huge right now!
You guys are doing great work. Keep on giving it a go!
